Quite apart from the impact on the Stapleton Road allotment site MetroBus is having negative impacts across the city for a tiny predicted benefit to citizens – although, of course, a massive benefit for the developers and corporate backers.

The entire project appears to be being pursued for corporate gain and civic aggrandizement whilst failing to take proper account of the negative effects which far outweigh the actual benefit for the people of Bristol.

For each of the three sections of MetroBus and for the South Bristol Link Road there are far better, more truly sustainable, lower cost, higher benefit alternatives.
